Decided to stop off for Sunday lunch. A pleasant couple have just taken over this week. So welcoming and the food was amazing.
I had a great one night stay. I was expecting a single room with shared bathroom but was delighted to find a bigger bed and an ensuite in my room. The waterfall shower was very welcome after a day of running in grim weather. The bed was comfortable and I slept well - I couldn't hear any noise from the pub. I also had dinner in the pub and it was lovely. I'd happily stay again.
This place was excellent. Great location, great bar, courteous staff, and a fantastic location. Room was clean and comfortable.
Had a wonderful weekend stay here. Very clean rooms in good condition. The food at the inn was excellent, had the steak ale pie, very good comforting food. The staff were all very kind, and helpful - I even mistakenly left my mobile phone behind when checking out....the staff arranged for it to be posted back to me with minimal fuss. They really do go the extra mile in terms of service.

Called in for a meal as we are moving into the area and we were not disappointed. The meal was beautiful. I had chicken tikka curry and my husband had the Pennine Burger...wow...the 2 burgers were fresh meat and about 1" thick. Hubby was impressed. The service was excellent and friendly and the pub itself was so clean and lovely decorated. Will definitely go again.
We had a great stay here on our day off while hiking the coast to coast. It was centrally located in town, had their own pub for drinks and food. The room very large a spacious and clean. The only issue I had was the amount of flies, but it was not just at Pennine Inn...it was everywhere.
Stayed 1 night for a wedding in the area. We arrived at 11.30am and were let into our room early so we could get changed to go to the wedding. Staff very accomodating and friendly, rooms spotlessly clean. Breakfast was great with a good quality, thick cut bacon not cheap supermarket rubbish. Only issue we had was the local 'wildlife' being rather noisy for a short while but being a Saturday night, the hotel can't be held responsible for that as our room overlooked the market square. We would definately stay here again.
